Student mobility and international cooperation are key objectives for Norway.
Higher education institutions offer almost 200 Masters programmes taught
in English, and currently, nearly 12,000 foreign students are studying and
preparing for their future careers in Norway.

DEGREE SYSTEM
The degree system of the Bologna Process based on the Bachelor’s, Masters and Ph.D. structure has been successfully implemented in Norway, together with the ECTS credits system. By adapting to the European standard in higher education it has become easier for students who complete all or part of their education in Norway to obtain recognition of their qualifi cations in other countries.

Twenty billion barrels of oil have been pumped up from the Norwegian continental shelf since production started in June 1971. About 80,000 people are employed in the petroleum sector in Norway and oil and gas comprise Norway’s most important export article. Norway is the world’s third-largest exporter of oil and gas.
