Summer programmes

Several Norwegian institutions of higher education offer shorter programmes during the summer months. These programmes span a number of subject areas.

International Summer School in Oslo 2010 (June 26- August 6)
The University of Oslo (UiO)
The ISS offers a variety of courses on undergraduate and graduate level, focusing on various aspects of Norwegian culture and society, and also on international issues. Participants attend daily classes, take examinations and/or write term papers, and receive a University of Oslo transcript. Credits will be certified, but accreditation can only be determined by the students' home institution. The summer school takes place from late June till early August.

Intercultural Management – a Scandinavian perspective

Programme features
Extensive exposure to Norwegian shipping, software and other industries through guest lectures and company visits. Lectures on Intercultural Management from an Scandinavian/Norwegian perspective by highly qualified BI faculty. Classes on Norwegian Life and Society – arts, history, economy, women’s position, politics and more. Social and cultural activities – including sightseeing, BBQ, hiking, Norwegian film programme

Summer School at Oslo University College (OUC), Oslo
The International Summer School at Oslo University College will take place from June 28th to July 16th 2010. For the summer of 2010, we offer the following 4 courses: Globalisation, Development and Issues of Inter-Cultural Understanding, International Public Health, LATINA: Learning and Teaching in a Digital World and Philosophy in School. On campus conveniently located in the Centre of Oslo, the participants will attend an intensive 3 week study programme and will also enjoy a variety of social and cultural activities in order to make the most out of their stay.

Please note: It is recommended to apply by February 1st, 2010 for nationals of countries that requires a visa to visit Norway.
