Organization description
Oslo University College provides the widest range of professional higher education in Norway. Our programmes lead to professional diplomas and degrees in all main areas of society. OUC has seven faculties: Faculty of Nursing, Faculty of Engineering, Faculty of Health Science, Faculty of Social Science, Faculty of Journalism, Library and Information Science, Faculty of Education, Faculty of Fine Art and Drama. We have 11 000 students and a staff of 1 100. We offer around 50 study programmes (Bachelor, Master and a PhD in the study of professions). Research and development is carried out in all the academic areas of OUC. There are three important research and development areas where OUC has developed special expertise. They are within the fields of pedagogy, multicultural work and the study of professions. Internationalisation is an important issue in OUC’s strategy of improving quality in education and research. We have an increasing number of courses and programmes offered in English for international students, see: http://www.hio.no/..
