Programme description	Through this Master's programme, you will improve your knowledge of the English language and of linguistic methods and their application. You can choose to specialize in various aspects of the English language and its use, such as detailed studies of different text types, of particular grammatical constructions or lexical areas, or of varietis of the English language - regional and social, historical and modern.
Application deadline	1 December for self-financing applicants. 15 April for citizens from the EU/EEA area + citizens from Switzerland. 15 April for Norwegian/Nordic applicants and applicants with permanent Norwegian residence permit.
Nokut certification	Yes (What is this?) NOKUT (Norwegian Agency for Quality Assurance in Education) NOKUT is an independent state body whose purpose is to safeguard and develop the quality of Norwegian higher educational institutions. This is done through evaluation, accreditation and recognition of quality systems, institutions and study programmes. Only courses that are accredited or recognised by NOKUT, or are accredited as a result of the institution's blanket accreditation, have the right to be called "higher education". Formal prerequisites	Applicants for Master's Degree Programmes are required to have a minimum of 3 years of study at a recognized university or college beyond the minimum requirements for matriculation at a Norwegian institution of higher education, which means to a level equivalent to a Norwegian Bachelor Degree.
