Programme description This studyprogramme covers the development of species and diversity, in the relationship of organisms to their environment, and processes in populations and ecosystems. You choose one of the following disiplines: ? Ecology ? Evolution and biodiversity ? Marine biology and limnology ? Toxicology.; The programme gives special emphasis to a research-based project which will give you training in field and laboratory work, report writing, presentation methods and statistical analyses of research results. The teaching is closely related to research activities in the Department, which cover a wide range of traditional disciplines such as zoology, botany, toxicology, marine biology, limnology, ecology and behavioural and evolutionary studies. Molecular methods play a central role in all these disciplines.
Application deadline 1 December for self-financing applicants.
15 April for self financing applicants from the EEA -area.
1 March for Norwegian/Nordic applicants and applicants with permanent Norwegian residence permit.

Formal prerequisites Applicants must have completed prior university studies in the subject of the programme for which they are applying.; Students from non-English speaking countries are required to have passed one of the following tests: TOEFL test with at least 550 points or IELTS test with at least band 6.

Applicants from the EEA-area may apply to the 15 April deadline if they are still in progress with their bachelor's degree.
