Programme description The Master's programme will provide deeper insight into how computers work and how they can be used to solve problems. Information technology is an aid in many fields such as medicine, biotechnology, law, culture and learning. Your Master's will focuse on one of these fields.

The programme covers the core of computer science: how do you create efficient and correct computer programs for difficult problems?

There are two programme options:

  • Software, languages, logic deals with all aspects of programming in theory and practice, from system modeling and formal specifications to actual implementation using various programming languages.
  • Distributed systems focuses on utilizing networks, from concurrent processes inside a computer to world-wide cooperating systems using the Internet
  • Application deadline 1 December for self-financing applicants.
    15 April for citizens from the EU/EEA area + citizens from Switzerland.
    15 April for Norwegian/Nordic applicants and applicants with permanent Norwegian residence permit.

    Formal prerequisites The Master's Degree is based on a successfully completed Bachelor's Degree of at least 3 years' duration beyond the minimum requirements for matriculation at a Norwegian institution of higher education.
