Programme description Through this programme, the University of Oslo aims at educating candidates to manage and participate in research- or technology-based innovation and commercialisation processes in both existing and newly established companies within the areas of computer science and molecular biology. The programme trains you in evaluating the commercial potential of a given research result and in bringing the new technology to the market. These are not trivial tasks and solving them requires a special combination of skills and expertise that crosses the boundaries of several academic disciplines. ; The Master of Science in Innovation and Entrepreneurship addresses these needs by providing core courses in innovation theory, business development, management, strategy, finance and marketing along with two electives in either computer science or molecular biology. In addition to the course-work, all students are required to complete an independent, 40-60 page thesis, and a 3-month executive internship in technology-based start-up companies in Singapore. Students also participate in real-life innovation projects at the Department of Informatics or the Department of Molecular Biosciences.
