| Programme description | The Master of Fine Arts programme is designed to provide artistic skills and knowledge of methods and theory that will prepare students for working with art at an advanced level. The Master's programme enhances students artistic insight and competence and cultivates their understanding of diverse strategies in artistic research and development. In their work on their Master's projects, students apply disparate artistic methods and techniques in an independent and reflective manner as they produce a larger project. As appropriate for their individual projects, Master's students develop a facility for working with a range of different materials and media including computer art, graphics, photography, installation, ceramics, audio art, painting, performance, sculpture, textiles, video, and combinations of these. This openness towards artistic expression allows students the possibility to challenge disciplinary boundaries and practice new forms of expression. |
