| Programme description |
The master´s degree in public health is equivalent to the English degree Master of Public Health (MPH) which is a highly recognized degree. The degree will qualify for leading positions in the health care services; hospitals, community care, and various governmental offices concerned with health planning and regulations.
The programme begins with providing a general introduction to public health. This part of the programme consists of six courses (60 ECTS) and it is mandatory for students who want to obtain a master´s degree in public health in Tromsø. In addition to this mandatory part students can choose between three different fields of specialization(each 30 ECTS): International health, Epidemiology and biostatistics and Health administration.
