The applicant can choose one of six main areas of study within this programme:
1) Principal Main Instrument / Chamber Music Students of orchestral instruments admitted to this variant of the programme can apply for internships at the Oslo Philharmonic Orchestra and the Norwegian Chamber Orchestra. There is a separate audition for the internship and students accepted will receive a scholarship. 2) Improvised Music/Jazz 3) Traditional Folk Music 4) Accompaniment and Chamber Music for Pianists 5) Music performance with thesis 6) Repetiteur This variant of the programme includes internship as a repetiteur at the Norwegian Academy of Music, the Oslo National Academy of the Arts and the Norwegian Opera and Ballet. There is a scholarship for the internship. |

Admission to the Master's Degree Programmes requires
a) a completed 3 or 4 year bachelor degree in music b) an audition. For foreign applicants from outside the Nordic countries, a videotape of the applicant will be accepted. Please contact the Academy for further details. |
