| Programme description |
When you have completed your studies, you will have substantial knowledge of mathematical modelling of processes from fields in natural sciences, industry, resource handling and other areas. The programme will provide you with training when it comes to using methods to analyse and quantitatively solve models set up in these fields. Computation methods and methods of applied analysis are sought from mathematics, numerical mathematics and informatics. In the master“s course you will learn to estimate models and solution methods and learn to know to use these in different fields of research. Within the Master“s Programme in Applied and Computational Mathematics, you can choose amongthe following specialisations:

| Formal prerequisites | A first degree (bachelor's degree) of three or four years' duration from an approved institution of higher education, as well as proficiency in the English language. Your bachelor's degree must include at least one year of mathematics covering calculus, algebra, analysis and programming - with first class results. |
