Programme description The master program in Medical Cell Biology is offered by the Faculty of Medicine and Dentistry at The University of Bergen and administrated by The Department of Biomedicine. The program gives the students a comprehensive understanding of medical cell biology and related techniques and trains the student in experimental lab work and scientific thinking.

After fullfillment of the master program the students should have a broad knowledge of molecular and cellular biology with focus on translational aspects. The teaching is specifically focused on cellular signalling, medical biochemistry, neurobiolgy, tumor biology and physical biochemistry. The students should know how to plan and conduct scientific experiments and to critically evaluate the results. Moreover, the students should know how to express him/herself scientifically, both orally and by writing, and should be able to seek and understand original scientific publications.
