| Programme description |
The goal of the programme is to give you a deep insight in, and an overview of the discipline marine biology.
You can choose between three different directions within marine biology, marine biodiversity, aquatic ecology or fish biology. Depending on which specialisatin you choose, after having completed the programme you have a good knowledge of flora and fauna in Norwegian and Nordic seas.
You will have insight into and gain experience of the use of marine biological field and laboratory methods, general methods for studying biodiversity and ecology, and acquire thorough knowledge of aquatic ecological processes and patterns. You can specialise in physiology and anatomy, fish behaviour, genetics and systematic and larval ecology.
You will also be trained in how to conduct an independent scientific study.
