Students at Bachelor, Master or PhD level can apply for a scholarship for up to 12 months (within the same academic year).
Each student receives a monthly grant between 600 – 1200 EUR. The monthly grant is based on a fixed rate for each country. Students from some countries also qualify for a travel grant. You can contact your home institution to get more information about the grant you will receive as an EEA Grant student.
About EEA/Norway Grant
As an EEA/Norway Grant student you are exempted from paying fees for tuition, registration, examinations and access to laboratory and library facilities at the host institution. The monthly grant is intended to cover housing and living expenses.
The EEA Grants and Norway Grants represent the contribution of Iceland, Liechtenstein and Norway to reducing economic and social disparities and towards strengthening bilateral relations with 16 EU countries in Central and Southern Europe and the Baltics.
Strengthening bilateral relations is a primary objective of the EEA and Norway Grants. Strengthening ties between European countries brings mutual benefits for institutions and organisations in both the donor and beneficiary countries.
The main goal of the programme is to develop and improve human capital and the knowledge base in the beneficiary countries, through increased mobility of students and staff, increased and strengthened institutional cooperation in all levels of education.
