Environmental Engineering

Water is life. This incredible chemical with its numerous anomalies is the fundamental nutrient and ecosystem component for all living organisms. The aim of the MSc in Environmental Engineering is to provide motivated students with knowledge and skills necessary to become responsible water managers and engineers.This programme incorporates two streams of specialisation: Offshore Environmental Technology and Water Science and Technology.With an MSc in Environmental Engineering, graduates will be able to suggest, design and operate adequate environmental process technologies based on profound understanding of recipient aquatic systems.

Nordic and EU applicants with a Bachelor's degree outside of Norway: March 1

Local applicants with a Bachelor's degree from Norway: April 15

Formal prerequisites

A Bachelor's degree within one of the following disciplines is required:

  • Environmental Engineering
  • Chemical Engineering
  • Biotechnology

The degree must include at least 30 ECTS credits in mathematics/statistics/calculus of probability

Applicants with a Bachelor's degree in related areas may also be considered if they have at least 30 ECTS credits in applied chemistry and 10 ECTS credits within biology/ecology.
