Music Performance

The Master of Arts in Music Performance is a highly international programme, with a strong emphasis on performance and individual artistry. The programme is suitable for both classical and jazz/improvisation oriented students.  Students will acquire broad expertise in musical performance as well as a theoretical framework for further research or for participation in musical life in society. The teaching methods are a mix of individual lessons, ensemble/chamber music, as well as performing projects and theoretical tuition. The master project exam combines music performance and a reflecting presentation of the topic. In addition, the student has both theoretical and performing exams during the study. The School provides a versatile and professional music and performing arts environment within a collegiate atmosphere where close contact between students and teachers is maintained.

Formal prerequisites

A Bachelor's degree in Music Performance is required. The degree must include at least 120 ECTS credits in music performance subjects

Audition: applicants from outside of the Nordic countries may submit a video
