Network and System Administration

This master programme is a co-operation between Oslo and Akershus University College of Applied Sciences and the University of Oslo.

Network and System administration is about putting together a networked system of computers, software (workstations, PC's and supercomputers), getting them running and then keeping them running in spite of the activities of users who tend to cause the parts of the system to fail. The aim of this programme is to teach the theory, principles and practice of system management, including network and system design, analysis, efficiency and security. The course places emphasis on practical skills based on Unix, Windows and Macintosh platforms but teaches general principles along with their technical and ethical foundations.
