Performance - Master of Music

The applicant choose one of seven main areas of study within this programme:

1) Solo Instrument / Chamber Music Ensamble
Students of orchestral instruments admitted to this variant of the programme can apply for internships at the Oslo Philharmonic Orchestra and the Norwegian Chamber Orchestra. There is a separate audition for the internship and students accepted will receive a scholarship.

2) Improvised Music/Jazz

3) Nordic Master: The Composing Musician

4) Traditional Nordic Folk Music

5) Accompaniment and Chamber Music for Classical Pianists

6) Opera Répétiteur
This variant of the programme includes internship as a repetiteur at the Norwegian Academy of Music, the Oslo National Academy of the Arts and the Norwegian Opera and Ballet. There is a scholarship for the internship.

7) Performance with Thesis

Application deadline 15 December
Formal prerequisites Admission to the Master's Degree Programmes requires
a) a completed 3 or 4 year bachelor degree in music
b) an audition.

For foreign applicants from outside the Nordic countries, a videotape of the applicant will be accepted.
