If so, the master's programme in Religion, Philosophy and Society may be the thing for you. The programme focuses on religion and philosophy in a social context. It emphasizes the historical development and current role of contemporary religions, both in Norway and worldwide. It also emphasizes the application of philosophical thinking in today's society. The programme thus opens for a variety of different angles of approach, with specializations in religion or philosophy, or a combination of the two. The programme is designed to enhance the students' abilities to reflect independently.

Formal prerequisites

The prerequisite for admission to the master's programme is a completed bacherlor's degree, in which religion and ethics or philosophy is the major component (at least 80 credits, of which at least 20 must be at level 200).
