FORMER STUDENT
OF NORWAY:

What were your main reason(s) for choosing Norway for your studies?

I chose Norway for its high quality education, and the hassle-free application procedure into its higher education institutes.

What are the main differences between Norway and Russia?

There is a strong focus placed on independent learning in Norway, and the students have access to plenty of resources to aid them in their self-learning. This is different from Russia, where students prefer to learn in groups. Norwegians also tend to keep to themselves, while in Russia it would be a common sight to see locals mixing with international students.

In your opinion, what is the best aspect with Norwegian education?

The Norwegian education system really fosters independent learning, which I enjoy. Students here are able to take courses outside of their main profile, which helps them to satisfy their curiosity, and attain a broad scope of knowledge tailored to their interests.

In what way do you think your stay here will influence your career opportunities?

Norway allowed me to receive an excellent education, which helped groom me into the specialist I am today. I also got the chance to work with people from different backgrounds, which made me more sensitive to cultural differences.

What surprised you the most?

I was really taken aback by the simplicity of the Norwegian lifestyle, and the importance society places on ensuring equality in many aspects.

What have you appreciated the most?

I appreciated the equality all types of people in society can enjoy. From my experience, no one would judge you based on your background, gender, or your beliefs.

What will you miss the most when you leave?

I will miss the nature, the delicious fresh drinking water, the clean air and the breathtaking views Norway has to offer.
