Here you will find an overview of student organisations in Norway.

We advice you to contact your local branch of a student organisation if you have questions. These branches can be found through the institution webpage or on these main pages of the student organisations. 

  • National Union of Students in Norway (NSO) . The National Union of Students in Norway (Norsk studentorganisasjon, or NSO in Norwegian) is the largest organisation for students in Norway. Comprising 30 member unions from higher education institutions across the country. The member unions represents more than 240 000 students. NSO’s goal is to ensure students’ academic, social and economic rights.
  • Erasmus Student Network Norway . The Erasmus Student Network (ESN) is a non-profit international student organisation. Its mission is to represent international students, and provide opportunities for cultural understanding and self-development under the principle of Students Helping Students.
  • International Students' Union Norway. ISU is an independent, democratic, non-profit, non-partisan organisation run for and by international students. 
  • Student welfare organisations. There are 14 student welfare organisations in Norway. The task of the organisations is to take care of the students' welfare needs and offer services such as student housing, health services,  sports and training facilities.
